Another Minion hat.  I have three grandsons all age 6.  This is the third one I have made :)

A scarf and hat I made for one of my daughters.  I hope she likes it!

The beginning ---

So I started loom knitting about a week ago.  My experience working with yarn is pretty limited.  Loom knitting is so easy pretty much anyone can do it like a pro right out of the gate.  Sure, there are things you will learn not to do and things you can do better, but bottom line is that you pick up a loom, load it with yarn and go.  You will be knitting something.  It's fairly easy to knit a hat day one or a scarf and build from there.  At this moment, I have four projects under my belt.  Not many, but I am learning.  I have grandkids.   Three boys all age 6 and one granddaughter age 10.  So the majority of my projects will be for my grandkids.  If you have stumbled upon my page, I hope you enjoy and I hope it is of some use to you.  Thanks for stopping by!

This is my first attempt at a minion hat.  All three grandsons love Despicable Me so of course I had to make a minion hat.  One down, two to go!  I hand crocheted the eye.  It was fairly simple process especially with all the youtube videos.  The black band I loomed using the garter stitch.  I don't recommend that.  It was a slow process to finish the black band using the garter stitch.  The black band took me as long to make as the rest of the hat!  It moves at a much slower pace, in my newbie opinion.  This is my fourth project ever.

Project number two -- Santa hat.  I intended to make this for my granddaughter, however, the loom I used which was had 24 pegs I believe was/is far too small for a 10 year old!  It did however make a nice toilet paper cover which will come in handy during the holidays!  So all is not lost.  I will remake the hat in a larger size for Madison Mae.

This is project number one.  Santa scarf.  It is a scarf, but it was too long to picture the whole thing.  It is 48" from tip to tip.  I still need to add his nose (still).  This will be so much fun for my granddaughter this winter.  It's kind of a scarf and a toy all in one!  I used buttons for the eyes, made the pom, pom which came our really nice, big and fluffy.  Fun, fun, fun and so easy!

This was project number three.  What can I say about this?  I had the yarn, was playing with stitches.  It really reminds me of a birthday cake.  It's a cute hate and was easy to make!  My granddaughter will think she is stylin and profilin!

Well, that is all I have so far.  Easy peasy!  If you have an interest in learning to knit on a loom, go for it.  It is fun, productive and so easy a caveman can do it! :D
